About This Event

Join internationally-renowned tsimbl (hammered dulcimer) player Pete Rushefsky for an afternoon exploring Jewish klezmer music – the celebratory music of the Jews of Eastern Europe that was transplanted to New York in the early 20th century, and then revitalized by a new generation of musicians beginning in the 1970s.

From soulful spirituals to infectious dance tunes, klezmer has much to offer listeners of all ages.
