The Bronx Museum is recognized around the world and specializes in diverse contemporary art. With over a thousand pieces in its permanent collection and rotating special exhibits, there's always something new to take in. And visiting is always free!


  • Exhibits: The Bronx Museum permanently showcases a diverse range of artwork. Special exhibitions also make their way to the museum. Previous special exhibits include Bronx Calling, Trees Are the Alphabet, Teen Council: Alienation and Acceptance—just to name a few. See what’s on exhibit today.
  • Events & First Friday: Watch a dance performance. Follow a tour. Whichever you choose, there are interesting events always happening. On the first Friday of the month the museum is open late and hosts a series of performances by local artists! Check the calendar.
