The New York Aquarium is the oldest operating aquarium in the US. It has 14 acres and houses more than 250 species of aquatic wildlife. There are many fun activities to do around the park, from penguin feedings to sea lion shows and musicals. Plus, it's free to enter every Wednesday afternoon, from 3pm to last entry! The New York Aquarium is also free all the time with a year-long membership through IDNYC.
  • Aquatheater: Watch an interactive show where trainers and sea lions take center stage. See what the sea lions have learned and the tricks they can perform.
  • Penguins & Sea Otter Feedings: Penguins and sea otters are fed on the daily. Come and watch!
  • Aquarium Quests: Participate in some fun, free activities around the park. You’ll learn about amazing ocean animals, the importance of conservation, and ways to enjoy the beach.
