Snug Harbor, located close to the Staten Island Ferry, was originally built as a home for retired sailors. It eventually became a cultural center for Staten Island and the rest of New York. It offers 83 acres of gardens, museums, theaters, and seasonal activities. Snug Harbor is free every day.
