If your child has special medical needs, the Children and Youth with Special Health Care Needs program (CYSHCN) can help. You can get treatment information, help finding health services and insurance, free or low-cost insurance referrals, and community resources.

 

Who is eligible

Eligible children must:

  • Be age 21 or younger
  • Live in New York City
  • Have been diagnosed with or may have a serious or chronic health condition, physical disability, or developmental or emotional/behavioral condition
  • Need extra health care and assistance
