STEM Matters NYC offers many exciting and hands-on STEM programs for K-12 students during spring break and summer.

  • In 2023, STEM Matters NYC is offering free summer enrichment programs at cultural institutions throughout the five boroughs.
  • Programs will happen during various weeks from July 10 to August 18, 2023. Apply online by Wednesday, April 26.
  • Available to students who are entering kindergarten through grade 12 in NYC public and charter schools in September 2023.
    • Students entering kindergarten through grade 9 can apply for weeklong camps and will be selected via lottery.
    • Students entering grades 10-12 can apply for multi-week programs and will be selected by a review committee.
  • All programs are application-based. You need a teacher reference form to apply to high school programs.
  • Programs are located in various locations in all five boroughs.

Who is eligible

Summer programs are available to students who are entering kindergarten through grade 12 in NYC public and charter schools in September 2023.

Apply online by Wednesday, April 26.

  • Students entering kindergarten through grade 9 in September 2023 are selected via lottery
  • Applications for students entering grades 10-12 include a teacher reference form due May 5. Students are selected by a review committee.
